When someone receives a life-limiting or life-threatening diagnosis, LegaCare can work alongside healthcare professionals to ensure patients and their families receive the practical support they need, allowing them to focus on what matters most.​​

Refer a patient with a Professional Referral

If you are a healthcare or social care professional wishing to refer a patient to LegaCare , the referral process is quick and straightforward.​

1. Refer

We welcome referrals from healthcare and social care professionals, including NHS staff, GP's, hospice teams, social workers and any other relevant professionals.

2. Access

We will access the referral and contact the patient to discuss their needs.

Our specialist team provides free legal and financial support for eligible patients, helping to reduce worry and improve peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time. 

3. Support

If eligible, we will provide specialist legal and financial support tailored to them.

 

The Patient must meet LegaCare's eligibility criteria, including living in the North East, having a qualifying health condition and meeting our financial criteria.​​

Before submitting, please ensure that the patient is aware of the referral and that appropriate consent or another lawful basis for sharing their information is in place.
